Clean eating sugar free apple sauce is SO easy to make in the crockpot- you will not even miss the sugar!
Clean Eating Sugar Free Apple Sauce
- 1 pound organic apples
- 1/2 T cinnamon
- 1/2 t cloves
- 1/2 t ginger
- 1 cup water
Skin and core all the apples. Place in the slow cooker with spices. Cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2 – 2.5 hours. Allow the apples to cool and place in the refrigerator to chill. Blend in a blender or food processor.
You can freeze this sugar free apple sauce in plastic containers or ice cube trays (and transfer to a bag.) Add it to smoothies or defrost in the fridge and eat as a snack or use as a substitute for oil when baking.
